A New York federal judge dismissed the case against Dolce & Gabbana USA Inc., the sole U.S. defendant in a class-action lawsuit over the brand's $25 million DGFamily NFT project. The court found insufficient evidence to hold the American subsidiary liable for alleged unfulfilled promises by its Italian parent company.

The lawsuit, filed by plaintiff Luke Brown, accused Dolce & Gabbana and Dubai-based partner UNXD of selling high-value NFTs with undelivered perks—including digital fashion items, physical merchandise, and event access. Brown claimed losses of $5,800, with some NFTs losing 97% of their value due to unmet expectations.

The ruling weakens the broader action, though claims against other entities, including UNXD and Bluebear Italia SRL, remain pending. The case highlights ongoing legal challenges at the intersection of luxury branding and Web3 ventures.
